Carnaval Plans

It's official! We're going to the beach for Carnaval! Now you may remember last year, we went to Otavalo for Carnaval. It was our second month here and we went to check out the market. This year we're doing something FAR more typical and going to the beach. We were going to go to Atacames which is the most popular beach for Carnaval. But our plans have changed and I'm so excited! Now we're going CAMPING in Mompiche! I seriously couldn't be more excited! And guess what. It gets better! We're going to learn to surf! Because camping is so much cheaper ($3/night) than staying in a hostel ($15/person/night) we're going to use that extra money to take surf lessons! Mompiche is aparantly the place to learn too. Every year it holds an international surf competition, so there are tons of surf schools with all the gear for under $20! Woo Hoo! We can't wait! Super excited! Plus, our dear friend Grant (you thought I was going to say Sebas, didn't you?!) is going to come and stay at our place and take care of Chuki while we're gone!
